Inotia 4: Assassin of Berkel | Farming tips and guides

I came across this free game on Google Play, Inotia 4: Assasin of Berkel, and did not bother trying it as I have already checked its graphics during Inotia 2, and was not really impressed, being used to the graphics environment of Zenonia 4. I got bored one time and decided to try it once and for all just to kill time.

Before I knew it, I was hooked. I have been playing Inotia 4 for quite a while now and the truth is I am still not satisfied with the graphics, but the story is very interesting and gameplay is way better than Zenonia. So, being the dedicated gamer that I am, I decided to make this blog for those newbies who wish to farm good items, or just make more in-game gold without having to hack the game. Trust me, it'll be helpful in your future quest when purchasing Rare Items from the Rare Item merchant.

I first played the game as a Black Knight, since I have always liked characters with high defense and bulky armors and weapons, but the character's attack speed is slow, thus slower to kill monsters as well. So I decided to make a new character as an Assassin which had quicker attack speed and quicker monster slaying skills. I personally like this combo skills: Twin Blade (passive) + Whist + Assassin's Sword = Higher % one-hit kill for common monsters. I haven't really tried the other classes so I may sound biased :)

When deciding to farm, just make sure that you have enough bags in your inventory. This saves you time, instead of going back and forth to a village and sell your loots to a merchant just because your inventory is full. Your inventory can be extended up to 5 bags, each can contain up to 16 slots, I guess. The first bag is by default 16 slots. The rest needs to be purchased from the Item Merchant. You can buy bags with 4, 8, and 12 slots from there. I don't really know where to purchase a 16 slots bag coz I never had a single one during my entire game playing. Maybe it's a premium purchase. Anyway, I suggest that you get the 12 slots bag right away, costing about 33 silver coins. It's hard to earn the money, but once you get your first 12 slots bag, it'll be easier to save loots. :)

It is also advisable to save Lamp items (looks like a genie lamp) when hunting for loots. Once you got your inventory full, you just simply use the Lamp to summon out a "lamp merchant". It is helpful as it can be summoned anywhere on the map instead of going back to a town merchant.

You can then sell your loots to the lamp merchant until you have enough room in your inventory to fill up with more loots again. The lamp merchant also sells the same item as a regular item merchant, like potions, weapon and armor refinement scrolls, random equips, but take note that the prices of the items are doubled compared to a regular Item Merchant. Also, the lamp can only be used once. Once you leave the map, the lamp merchant will also disappear even if you go back to the same map where it was summoned, so make use of it wisely!

Based on my experience with this game, there's the "Improved Treasure Chest" (ITC) and the "Legendary Sword" (LS) in which you can repeatedly re-spawn when going back and forth in the map entry. Technically, it's not really cheating because you are just obtaining what the game itself has provided to you. The "Improved Treasure Chest" may contain a few number of loots, or can also contain weapons or armors with good stat distribution. You may also get a cheap item, but you can still sell these for gold.

Below is one map where you can repeatedly spawn the ITC. I don't know if there is another one located somewhere else within the game but this is the only map I know. Sorry, I forgot the map name :p

As you can see, the chest is located near a map entry. Just go near the chest and open it and grab the loots. Go back to the same entry where you came from, and then back in this map again. Just keep doing this until another ITC appears, loot the chest then repeat the same process until you've had enough and decided to proceed with the game. Easy eh? Watch out for the mini boss near the chest by the way. It's not that tough, so you can also grind while you're at it :)

Another source of good weapons are the "Legendary Sword" (LS). It looks like a white sword stuck on a ground found randomly in a few maps throughout the game. You can get all sorts of weapon from it; from daggers to crossbows. I came across it four times on different maps while playing as a Black Knight, and managed to get two rare weapons with good stats on two different occasion, and the other two, well, got nothing. It's rare to find one in a map, and has a very low chance to pull out a rare weapon from it. When I was playing as an Assassin, I found one map where you can easily re-spawn it, just the same way as the ITC mentioned above. You can check this map below. Again, I was not able to get the map's name. The only thing I can remember is that this is after hunting a town bandit quest. Sorry :p

As you can see, the LS sword is located at the mid-lower part of the map. The skill slot can overlap on it so it's quite hard to spot the sword, but you can still see it as a small white spot on the mini-map. The map entry is located at the left side and this is the entry you will use to go back and forth to re-spawn the LS. There are no monsters in this map so there's no need to worry. You will need a bit more patience here, as it seems that the sword is hard to re-spawn.

The chances of getting a rare weapon from the LS is quite low. Most of time, you will get a "Not enough skill" message when pulling out the sword. This means you are unsuccessful, and you will have to re-spawn it if you wish to try again. I did this and was able to re-spawn it on this map about 20 times when playing as an Assassin. Guess what I got? Nothing. Yep. None at all. Later in the game I saw it again and re-spawn it and was able to get a couple of good weapons.

The chances of getting a weapon also depends on the "Chosen Hero" mercenary skill of a Black Knight (BK). If you have a BK mercenary, make sure that it has that mercenary skill where it increases the chances of getting a weapon from LS. It has 3% added chances to get an item out of the LS. If your BK doesn't have that mercenary skill, you may want to consider replacing it with another BK that has the skill. Even if you are not actually using your BK mercenary, as long as you have one in your party, the mercenary skill will have an effect.

Well, that's about it for now. I'll just update this if ever I come across another helpful tip for better farming. Please feel free to leave your comments or suggestions. Happy farming! :)

  5. Inotia 4: Tips & Tricks

Here are some of the basic playing tips that hopefully could help you out in finishing the game regardless what class you choose as your main character:

*This fourth instalment of the game is filled with lots of mission and difficult battles, that’s why grinding or farming for levelling up or acquiring quality equipments is more than necessary as things gets easier when your character is two-three level above.
*Share your character’s status points wisely based on the class you choose at the beginning, each classes required certain stat to be maximized in making them stronger. Pay a close attention on the character’s early status and divide the points based on that early condition.

  8. The ITC can be found in a lot of maps, at the beginning of the game you can find one in the second map. So basically if you see a normal chest re enter at least 6 or 7 times to see if it changes to an improved one.
You guys think that if we get two BK with the "Chosen Hero" ability we can get 6%?
Also, the emblems, there are a bunch of types, like hero, divine and shadow, you know the difference?
